veteran pitcher Johnny Sain from the Boston Braves for pitcher Lew Burdette, who
had only 2 games of major league experience. The Yankees pay a very heavy
price for picking up the 33 year old pitcher. Burdette leaves his mark on the
game, while Sain has 33 more wins and 40 saves left in his arm. |
